Life is a Tightrope over Hell (pg. 11-12) – A way of living in which I feared the consequences of sin and learned to humble myself before God while relying on His help to overcome temptation

OK Nuclear Reactor (pg. 45) – A cultural phenomenon where people are motivated to work hard and spend money in order to feel OK
OK Stronghold (pg. 30) – A way of thinking that focuses on feeling OK rather than knowing God
Old-Time OK Religion (pg. 40) – Religion that is based on proving our worth to God

Stronghold (pg. 19-20, 12) – A way of thinking that keeps us from knowing and serving the God of the Bible
Tolerance-based authenticity (pg. 46-47) – An approach to life in which we believe we have a moral obligation to focus on being true to who we feel we are
Train Tracks (pg. 12) – A way of thinking. Our thoughts and feelings are like a train that tends to run along certain tracks. Until we learn new ways of thinking (new tracks), we find it difficult to change.
Ungodliness (pg. 9) – Worship of gods other than the True God, or bad worship of the True God
