I am grateful for the help of the late Bruce Adams of New Life Ministry (NLM – www.newlifem.org). When I showed up at NLM, I had over twenty-three years of successful recovery time behind me, but I wasn’t really sure if I had anything valuable to share with others. I had rarely opened up about what I had been through. Bruce read the earliest draft of this book and strongly encouraged me to continue. It helped me greatly to talk to someone involved in ministry to sex addicts, and I was excited to hear that my experience could benefit others. Bruce also helped me to better understand how to meet the needs of my readers.
Tony Chiarilli (Free In Christ Ministry) didn’t realize he was encouraging me to write this book, but his volumes of internet posts on the subject of sexual addiction confirmed in my heart many of the points I was writing about.
Finally, I am grateful for the help and support of my reviewers. You know who you are. I especially appreciate the input of Peter. His comments from an open heart resulted in many important additions to this book.
