  1. Protect me, O God, in you I take my refuge.

  2. I say to the Lord, "You are my Lord;

    3. "I have no good apart from you."

  3. The holy ones in the land,

    4. They are the noble,

    In whom is all my delight.

  4. Those who choose another god

    5. Multiply sorrows;

    Their drink offerings of blood

    I will not pour out

    Nor take their names upon my lips.

  5. The Lord, my chosen portion

    6. And he is my cup;

    I know that you hold my lot.

  6. The boundary lines have fallen

    7. In pleasant places;

    I have a happy heritage.

  7. I will bless the Lord

    8. Who gives me counsel in the night.

  8. I keep the Lord before me;

    9. He's at my right hand,

    I shall not,shall not be moved.

  9. Therefore my heart is glad, and

    10. My soul rejoices;

    My body it rests secure.

  10. For you do not give

    11. Do not give me up to the Pit.

  11. You show me the path of life.

    12. In your presence full of joy;
