Psalm 11, (Based on the New Revised Standard Version Bible: Anglicised Edition)
Lyrics and music by Jason Silver
In the Lord I take refuge;
How can you say to me,
"Flee like a bird to the mountains;"
Woah
"...for look, the wicked bend the bow,
"Fitted arrow to the string,
"To shoot in the dark
"At the upright in heart.
"If the foundations are destroyed,
"What can the righteous do?"
The Lord is in his holy temple;
The Lord's throne is in the heaven.
His eyes behold,
His gaze examines humankind.
The Lord tests the righteous and he tests the wicked too,
His soul hates the lover of violence.
Woah.
On the wicked he'll rain coals of sulfur and of fire;
A scorching wind shall fill their cup.
Woah
For the Lord is righteous;
And he loves righteous deeds;
The upright shall behold his face.
