Psalm 27:1, 5-13, (Based on the New Revised Standard Version Bible: Anglicised Edition)
Lyrics and music by Jason Silver
The Lord is my light and my salvation;
Whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the stronghold of my life;
Of whom shall I be afraid?
For he will hide me safe in his shelter
Safe in the day of trouble;
He will conceal me under his cover;
And he will set me high.
My head is lifted above my enemies
Though they are all around me,
And I will offer my sacrifices
And I will sing with joy.
Lord hear me when I, when I cry out, lord
Be gracious Lord and answe!
"Come," my heart says, and, "seek my God's face!"
Your face, Lord, do I seek.
Don't turn your servant away in anger,
You who have been my help.
Do not forsake me, God my salvation!
The Lord will take me up.
Teach me your way, Lord, make my path level
'Cause of my enemies.
Do not give me up to my adversaries,
For liars rise against me.
I believe that I shall see the goodness of the Lord
In the land of, in the land of the living.
