Psalm 4, (Based on the New Revised Standard Version Bible: Anglicised Edition)
Lyrics and music by Jason Silver
Answer me when I call, O God of righteousness!
You set me free when I was. when I was in distress.
Be gracious to me, and hear my prayer.
How long will you people turn my glory into shame?
How long will you love vain words, and seek after lies?
Be gracious to me, and hear my prayer.
But know that the Lord has set apart the faithful for himself;
The Lord hears when I call out to him.
When you're disturbed do not sin, in your anger do not sin;
Ponder it on your beds, and be silent.
Offer the right sacrifice, and put your trust in the Lord.
There are many who say, "˜O that we might see some good!
"Let the light of your face shine on us!"
You've made me glad in my heart more than from grain and from wine.
I will lie down and I'll sleep, I will lie down in peace;
for you alone, Lord, you keep me safe.
