  1. Give ear to my words, O Lord;

    2. Give heed to my sighing.

  2. Listen to the sound of my cry,

    3. My King and my God,

    For to you I pray.

  3. In the morning you hear my voice;

    4. In the morning I plead with you, and wait.

  4. For you're not a God who delights in wickedness;

    5. And evil will not live with you.

  5. The boastful will not stand before your eyes;

    6. You hate evil.

  6. And You destroy all those who speak in lies;

    7. The Lord hates the deceitful.

  7. But I, through the abundance of your steadfast love,

    8. Will enter your house,

    I will bow down towards your holy temple

    In awe of you.

  8. Lead me in your righteousness

    9. Because of my enemies;

    Make your way straight before me.

  9. For there is no truth found in their mouths;

    10. Their hearts are destruction;

    Their throats are open graves;

    They flatter with their tongues.

  10. Oh make them bear their guilt; let them fall by their words;

  11. But let all who take refuge in you rejoice;

    12. Let them ever sing for joy.

    Spread your protection over us, we cry,

    So those who love your name rejoice.

  12. You bless the righteous, Lord; You cover them.

    13. Favor them as with a shield.
