Freedom in God's Divine Order for Women
The demand for God’s Divine Order exceeded the first printing and it was strongly suggested that we have it reprinted but in a smaller book size. This edition is the result of that consideration and the number of positive comments on the first edition. The following letter from Jane Threlkeld, whose order for 25 copies almost depleted our inventory, was one of these comments:
Dear John,
Thanks for the books. We were so glad you still had some. And thanks, too, for the permission to copy it...
We think your book is one of the best books we’ve had for teaching this subject. It is concise, but very thorough (not as intimidating as Recovering Biblical Manhood and Womanhood). We like to use your book along with Piper’s Man-Woman, What’s The Difference?
May the Lord bless you and those entrusted to your care, and may you be in peace.
Jane Threlkeld
I have updated the book with events in the subject area and references to new material I have found since we first published. The section on headship in the home has been expanded by seven pages and a new emphasis has been introduced, namely, that we must not lose sight of the fact that sacrificial love, not authority, is the heart of Biblical headship.
Most of the new material reveals that the very same arguments employed for allowing women to have leadership roles in the church have also been used by others to justify allowing homosexuals to be pastors. Error has a propensity for propagating itself in destructive ways.
